Station & Equipment
The REDS Team has now been at our new location for almost two years, 1219
Patriot Drive, off business Hwy 64 in Raleigh. We have easy access to the
264 by-pass and I-540. We also have a larger training room and an outside
area where we can also train. We have our 2 tractor trailer tankers onsite
for confined space training as well. We are currently adding a shower to
the bathroom and completely remolding it as well, new vanity, sink, new
toilet, tile floor, and cabinets. Hopefully next we can add another bay
door and re-work the ceiling in the bays.
The Extrication trailer has been re-worked and all the tools have a place.
The location for each tool is labeled, making it much easier for folks to
know where things go. You can see pictures under our collapse &
extrication page.

The dive trailer is almost complete, only lacking a little bit more lettering. Thanks to Pam for putting
the emblems and stripe on the trailer. The Team assisted Morrisville PD in trying to locate a piece of
evidence in February. We pulled the trailer and everything went well, except the water was really cold.
Thanks to Bo, Mike Arnold, and Jim for coming out to help.

Guatemala Mission
We are leading a mission trip to Guatemala in August through "Paramedics for Children" to train 50 of their folks in rescue. We will be taking 11 Instructors and one PR person on this trip. They have virtually no equipment and very little training. They even have wrecked vehicles that still have bodies in them because they can't get to them or get them out. We hope to start changing that. Pender County Rescue & EMS has donated their used rescue truck for the mission and now it is our job to get it equipped. We can use any equipment for rescue to include hand tools, power tools, hydraulic tools, rope hardware; especially caribiners, descenders, brake racks, & pulleys. The truck will be equipped and then sent down prior to our departure. We will have several Instructors going with us that are not on the Team and will have the mission Team posted once it is finalized. We will also be posting where equipment is being donated from. Each member is having to cover the cost of their travel, so donations are being accepted to help offset that expense. Donations can be made out and mailed to; The Reds Team/Mission trip, PO Box 483, Garner, NC. 27529. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at Reds100@aol.com. We would also like to thank the following vendors for donating equipment so far to this mission:
- Rescue Jack
- Phoenix Power Tools
- Sterling Rope
- Southeastern Emergency Equipment
- Agri-Supply
- Hudson's Hardware
- Turtle Cribbing
- Life Hammer
- Loop Road Auto Parts
- Mac tools
